OPERATION OLYMPUS

In Greek Mythology, OLYMPUS was the home to the gods, a place of abode and dread for mortal men. To walk up the stairs was to become immortal. OLYMPUS stands for the boundary between godliness and oblivion.

In 2019, the US government was developing the early stages of an A.I. System to help control the forces in the Balkans. Although the cold war, on the surface, was over and the US and SOVIET faction were allies, the real power struggle was between warlords and generals in the newly formed Balkan states. Late 2023, NATO had been attempting to keep order, when intel led to a potential strike on a local underground CIA station in Ostrava that was to be raided by a group calling itself the army of the PHOENIX EMPIRE, a fractured group of old Soviet regime KGBand SPETZNAZ operators. Like the Phoenix they hope to rise from the ashes, and bring about change in Eastern Europe, and restore fear from the iron curtain.

Argus Separatists, or the “watchers”, a competing faction had been waging their own war through the dark web, with actionable forces on the ground. The US A.I. system would revolutionize warfare both across the internet and help gain control of financial systemsworldwide: Holding the world hostage to achieve their goals. Named after the Greek god, the byname is derived from the hundreds of eyes on his head– seeing all– knowing all.
